Stand Out

Some people settle for the typical thing / Living all their lives, waiting in the wings / It ain't a question of "if," just a matter of time / Before I move to the front of line / And once you're watching every move that I make /  You gotta believe I got what it takes / To stand out

Be yourself, know your worth and strive for more! I just came back from VidCon in Southern California, and this song was the theme of the trip. (Cool points if you can name the movie it's from). For those who don't know, VidCon is a YouTube convention held annually in Anaheim, California.

VidCon's opening ceremony was equal parts epic and inspirational. John and Hank Green of the VlogBrothers took the stage snapchatting and vlogging their opening speech. John Green was the man of the hour. His novel "Paper Towns" was made into a motion picture film and premiered on the same day as VidCon. Rhett & Link played a heartfelt song, written about the frantic race of being the first to comment "First." Tyler Oakley debuted the cover of his new book in an elaborate, cinematic intro that was so charismatic, you're sure to fall in love.  I left the convention full of joy and inspiration, and I plan to make more videos for you guys real soon!

Now let's get back to this outfit. I got this top from Rehab Clothing, a small company based in LA. Never have I seen an overall top. Naturally, I had to make it mine. I love pieces that are different and stand out in some way.

I have to give major props to my photographer Dante Johnson for making modeling an easy task.

Thanks so much for reading!

Adidas x Calvin Klein

You heard it here first: paisley is the new camo! If I could be a soldier or a gangster, I would probably choose the gangster life. (Are we still talking about prints?) I love this print on anything, and Adidas does it beautifully.

Adidas has been stepping up their game with a slew of matching printed sets. Yes, people. Wearing sets or being matchy-matchy is heavily on-trend. Think of it as a part of the 90's revival wave which we are riding. Needless to say, I am a fan.

These pants are actually leggings. Although they have a flattering fit, they don't stay in place as well as yoga pants would, but it's not a big issue. I'm still going to wear the hell out of them!

Calvin Klein's sports bra and undies set has been circulating all over social media. Also a part of the 90's revival, logo-laden garments are back in action! To whomever interested in these Calvins, get them! The material is thick, smooth and of high quality.

I finished the look with none other than my Adidas "Superstar" sneakers and Cheap Monday hat.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Victoria La Mode x Uniqlo

Let's be real - I'm the kind of girl who needs the AC on at all times. I'm always slightly warmer than the average person, and now I'm literally staying cool thanks to Uniqlo's AIRism line!

The thinkers at Uniqlo don't mess around. They envisioned a functional product to be sweat absorbent, while staying cool and dry, eliminating odors and made from the finest fibers. And so AIRism was born!

Not only does AIRism eliminate sweat and moisture, it releases heat from the body, contains anti-odor properties, and the fabric stays cool to the touch. Let's not forget that the material is smoother than a baby's bottom. I've been wearing this Uniqlo lounge dress, running errands in 80 degree weather, and the verdict is in: AIRism is everything it promises to be!

I'm wearing one of their lounge dresses that I dressed up with a statement necklace, and threw on some gladiators for extra pizazz. I finished the look with my cat-eye sunglasses, also from Uniqlo.

I hope everyone is out enjoying these sunny days and warm nights. Some of us wait all year for summer. Now that it's in full swing, let's make the best of it! Catch some rays, cruise aimlessly with the windows down, maybe even dip your feet in the water.

I'm going to be at VidCon in Anaheim, California this week. If you're also going, be sure to say hello!

As always, thanks so much for reading!

Victoria La Mode x Triangl Swimwear

I'm ecstatic to share my collaboration with the one and only Triangl Swimwear! So often imitated, and "duplicated" is quite the understatement. The iconic Australian label has finally released new, highly anticipated designs. Known for changing the swimwear game with their signature neoprene pieces, the Queens of Neoprene have done it again--this time with interesting crochet accents and a better fit.

I have the same bikini style from their last collection (seen here) and I noticed nice improvements made towards the construction and fit of the bikini top. The neoprene still adds a lovely lift and the triangle cup hugs in the right places as opposed to a billowing I experienced with my last Triangl swimsuit. When it comes to swimsuits, I prefer a bra-style top with back clasp fastening versus the traditional halter string bikini. They simpler look cooler, trust.

Another great thing about Triangl is the option to order different sizes for the top and bottoms, which is fantastic, because not everyone is exactly proportional. I'm wearing a size small top and sized up with the bottoms and went with a medium. I definitely recommend sizing up for the bottoms because the material is not very stretchy. (Nobody wants material pinching around the bum, let them cheeks prosper)!

I'm wearing the Farrah - Wild Thing suit in Bottle Green, which can be found here.
