Boyfriend Blazer x Oliver Peoples

The Boyfriend Blazer, adding to my collection of boyfriend things without the actual boyfriend part. Pair this blazer with a pretty blouse or a band tee when you're feeing too cool for school. Needless to say, I love its versatility. It's a sharp jacket that can look sleek and chic or cool and casual.

While on the journey of making more and spending less, I decided to spend less on my eyeballs. I've gotten use to wearing daily contact lenses, which can really rack up a bill. And so I delve into the world of eyeglasses. Oliver Peoples was an easy decision. I love their branding, and the quality of their acetate frames are unparalleled. They plastic simply looks more dense and shinier than others. Clear frames are heavily trending and a fun way to change up your look, while saving monies!

Desert Rose

I love how bomber jackets have become a staple for everyday looks. If you want to elevate your look, add textures. Textures offer dimension, bringing an outfit from drab to fab! In this case, I'm all about the satin bomber. Such a chic rendition of an 80's starter jacket. I like my bomber jacket's oversized (I usually wear a size small but this is a size large). And to juxtapose an oversized jacket, I paired it with a form-fitting wrap top and fitted jeans. Try a satin bomber with a fitted dress or a flowy maxi skirt and sneakers.

A Fine Affair

SAM_1725.jpg

Unbox the high heels you've been meaning to wear, and reach for the fine wine in your kitchen. Tis the season to indulge in the luxuries of love and life.

With the holidays comes holiday parties and surely we want to look our best. And when it comes to fancy dresses, I have specific criteria: neutral colors, clean lines, an alluring neckline/backline, and a dash of elegance.

Long sleeves or a longer hem will counteract a plunging neckline/backline. Instead of going heavy on accessories, I like to play with a different hairstyle and maybe a bold lip. I'll entertain a pair of sparkly studs, or maybe even a delicate necklace, and I love me some midi rings. Something light, as to not take away from the attention of the dress.

So go on with your fancy self, and ring in the holiday cheer!

Off The Grid

Welcome to Sweater Weather 101. One thing about me is that I like my clothes really tight, or oversized to the brink of ridiculousness. If we must be covered in layers, let them drape along your silhouette, instead of rounding out like a puffin. (I'm looking at you, North Face friends). This off-the-shoulder knit sweater dress is a unique little gem. It's not often you find all the aforementioned facets in one sweater slash dress. A knit sweater should hug and drape in the right places, and this one surely fits the bill, and the love was instantaneous.

I'm carrying summer's off-the-shoulder trend into the fall. The cozy knit adds to the already playful, classy and sultry trend. I see a pattern with Miss Pap's pieces and I am a big fan.

It was a rainy Sunday morning on the day of this shoot, raining like cats and dogs. I was forced to cancel my shoot, and my photographer friend and I carried on with our lives. I was bogged down from the flu, but deadlines don't stop for anyone. Hours passed and the rain finally subsided before the sun came out to greet us. I frantically reached out to a few photographer friends, hoping we could catch this tiny bit of sunlight before it sets.

Lucky for me, Daniel Cohen was heading downtown and we were finally able to cross paths! We caught up with each other, sharing accomplishments big and small. He just had a groundbreaking gig in New York and I just came back from a cool event in Los Angeles. Seeing growth and success for a friend is such an inspiring feeling.

Although I had forces working against me, I powered through and it worked out for the best. I love how ethereal these shots turned out. I've said it once and I'll say it again: Push yourself, only good things will come from it.
