Block Party

Fell in love with these boots, and I'm not sure how it hit me. They had a foreign look about them. An oddly-shaped block heel, and leather tight enough to show the silhouette of your feet. Do I want this? Do I want weirdly tight, geometric block boots? I do. I couldn't explain it, but I do. Strange as they are. No clue how to style these, but love always finds a way!

Apparently I don't own any skinny jeans (they're all boyfriend's or belles), so I had to nix that styling option. Surely these babies can't hide underneath all that fabric. So my next option was a skirt. Done.

These boots are a unique blood orange color, so I stuck with some faithful neutrals to keep things moderate. Next, I grabbed a fitted top and a cardi to go with it and this turned out better than I thought. I'm often pleased with the looks I come up with when I'm pressed for time. But then again, who likes being rushed?

Sway

Currently on heavy rotation in my everyday wardrobe is this crew neck pullover. I paired it with a whimsical skater skirt and nude heels for a street wear flair. Though just the other day, I styled it with high-waisted denim, kicks and french braid pigtails. I get pretty excited over a piece that I'm able to dress up or dress down. I love its dolman sleeves, and the relaxed crop cut is good for when I'm trying to hide from the sun without making me feel too covered up. A weekend at Coachella left me tan af, so I like to wear long sleeves when I'm "off-duty" in order for my skin to lighten up lol. But if you have a sun-kissed tan, I'm not mad at ya. To top off this polished look, my Givenchy handbag came out to play. I've had it for a couple years, but I still crack a little smile when admiring its 1970's color block detailing.

50 Shades of Bae

If coverage and sexiness could coexist, it would be in the form of a slit maxi skirt. The alluring slit packs a statement on it's own, so the process of picking out a top has minimal effort required. Seriously, pick a simple top and it'll work perfectly! Pair it with a crop top or a half-tucked tank or tee to define the waist.

On the Run

I'm really into sheer tops, I'm even more into ribbed tops, and this top is both! The curly hem reminds me of the baby tees worn by popular girls in the 90's chick flicks--the best era for chick flicks! Since my top is a little risqué, I balanced out the sexiness with not-so-sexy boyfriend jeans. I really like baggy pants on girls--RIP Aaliyah. And yes I'm wearing men's boxer briefs, you can say I'm a little rebel. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
