The Rose That Grew From Concrete

Ah, swimsuits. They're a good layering piece, hug in the right places and fun to wear as a top (probably since you're not supposed to).

Fell in love with this mesh wonder from Miss Pap. Blame it on the brilliant red roses--double points for the lovely embroidery work. I like patches when they're cute and girly, and not-so-NASCAR.

Loving that trousers are currently on-trend. I wish I had a pair of trousers for every day and night. They work best with little tops, half tucked shirts/sweaters for a relaxed and effortless cool. Throw on a pair when you're feeling like a BAWS. Racer stripe trousers are also rotating heavy on Instagram and I love the play on street meets chic--one of my favorite looks! One is cooler with the other. Call it symbiotic.

Chunky Knits

Choker sweaters--it's a thing. A simple way to dress warmly without compromising the ways of a fashionista (insert twinkling star emoji here). I never gave sweaters the time of day until moving to the city, and I'm liking the playful selection over at MissPap. Try wearing one with your lovely locks tousled in a top bun, or layered with a heavy coat. And if you're feeling fly, wear your coat as a cape. Side note: I totally exfoliated my chest for this shoot, because good skin matters.

Blushing All The Way Home

As tough as pink will ever be--a pink suede moto jacket! I may be feminine, but I can't say that I'm girly, and this is as girly as it gets. I couldn't resist this blush tone. Such a refreshing color. Whoever said pink was a spring color obviously lives by these "rules," whereas I do not. Wear it with neutrals such as white, grey or black.
