Parisian Vibes

I've said it once and I've said it again, hunter green is my favorite color to wear in the fall. Such a rich and regal color, flattering on all skin tones. Magical, right? It's different, it's uncommon. It's also my mom's favorite color--so that might explain my affinity. This dress has a lovely ribbed texture, exposed zipper and oversized O-ring zipper, screaming '90s babes of your dreams'. The dress on it's own is a little too racy, so I paired it with a cute velvet beret--both items from Forever 21. I love the way hats have an ability to top off or subdue any outfit, simply diverting the attention from your outfit to your pretty face. This dress is a size small, but I think a medium might have worked better for me since I am a little busty and the dress ran a little short. No big deal, still love how this look mixes edgy and adorable elements.

Understated Elegance

I have a tendency to tie my outfits to a memory. There was a purpose; a reason why I wore it, when I wore it. This time, it was for a first date.

I've heard that a girl shouldn't be too stylish on a first date (gasp!), as it can be intimidating. Though, it helps when the gentleman is stylish, himself (score).

We arrived at a premiere screening in this charming little film studio. I wanted to look classy, plus sexy. Classexy? Though we don't speak often these days, I am certain this outfit is tied in his memory.

Sway

Currently on heavy rotation in my everyday wardrobe is this crew neck pullover. I paired it with a whimsical skater skirt and nude heels for a street wear flair. Though just the other day, I styled it with high-waisted denim, kicks and french braid pigtails. I get pretty excited over a piece that I'm able to dress up or dress down. I love its dolman sleeves, and the relaxed crop cut is good for when I'm trying to hide from the sun without making me feel too covered up. A weekend at Coachella left me tan af, so I like to wear long sleeves when I'm "off-duty" in order for my skin to lighten up lol. But if you have a sun-kissed tan, I'm not mad at ya. To top off this polished look, my Givenchy handbag came out to play. I've had it for a couple years, but I still crack a little smile when admiring its 1970's color block detailing.

If fashion is art, then wearing all white is minimalism at its finest. Such a chic and simple color that is perfect for either blending in or standing out. I layered on the Native American-inspired necklaces and stacked a bunch of chunky bracelets. The large beaded bracelet I’m wearing was actually a necklace from a Cinco de Mayo celebration at a Mexican restaurant, fun times! I’m not Mexican in the least bit, but I’m all for celebrations. I grew up in the suburbs but my disposition lies in the nomadic ways of a gypsy. Wearing all this jewelry and splashing in the tides under the blazing sun channels a spirit within me that is wild and free.

I’ve been told I could save a lot of time if I took more selfies and mirror pictures of my outfit-of-the-day, but that’s not nearly as fulfilling as exploring the unseen while showcasing my style and self-expression. [But hey, I do love me a good selfie!] It’s quite an adventure every time I shoot with Lux. We trampled off trail, climbed over massive boulders and waded through waist deep tides to discover this magnificent paradise. I love what I do, and it gives me great joy to share this with whomever digs my vibes. Thanks a ton for stopping by, my loves. I hope your day is as marvelous as you!
