Ninja Assassin

I was perusing through new arrivals on Forever 21 when saw this sweater, and stopped in my tracks. When I see a unique piece, my eyes lock. And for that fleeting moment, I'm in the zone. My mind quickly scans through styling ideas, then onto suitable occasions to wear it. A hoodie, oversized, with shoulder cut-outs? Dead.

Tunic-lengths call for thigh high boots to close the disparity between too-much-skin and too-much-fabric. I was feeling extra sassy, so I smeared on a dark lip. The same dark lip worn on the runway during the DKNY show last season. And now this look is reminiscent of Rihanna during the Diamonds World Tour aka the "Unapologetic" Riri. Ironically, the hoodie resembles a killer look styled by Rihanna's former rival, Karrueche (I posted photos below for reference).

My friend saw this photo of me on Forever 21's website, and I had no idea! Shout out to people who support and respect your hustle. @am1028, I'm looking at you!

Street Chic

Streetwear with a touch of class, made from eco-friendly plant material. How cool is that? The oversized crew neck sweater is a must-have staple for the colder months ahead. Wear it with ankle boots, thigh high boots or sneakers for an air of understated coolness.

Groceries Apparel has easily become one of my favorite brands. Each piece from their collection was constructed with so much thought, from the fabrication, to the weight and structure of each garment. High-quality clothing with flattering cuts are such a rarity.

Understated Elegance

I have a tendency to tie my outfits to a memory. There was a purpose; a reason why I wore it, when I wore it. This time, it was for a first date.

I've heard that a girl shouldn't be too stylish on a first date (gasp!), as it can be intimidating. Though, it helps when the gentleman is stylish, himself (score).

We arrived at a premiere screening in this charming little film studio. I wanted to look classy, plus sexy. Classexy? Though we don't speak often these days, I am certain this outfit is tied in his memory.

A Game of Tones

Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance. -Coco Chanel. I've never been a fan of wearing browns or tans, but these neutrals have been trending heavily. Monochrome looks have been my latest obsession for both men and women. Such a clean and chic aesthetic.

The skirt and sweater may be simple pieces, individually. Now, tuck in the sweater, give them the cold shoulder and show a little leg, and now you've got a feminine silhouette. This is one of my favorite looks I've done.
