Cozy knit sweater-things are slowly invading my closet, all thanks to the UK's very own MissPap. It's hard to remember what winters were like in South Bay after experiencing the cold of the North. (Okay, so maybe I've been binge watching Game of Thrones). One thing is for sure, I will never compromise my style even in freezing temperatures.

So how about this sweater from Miss Pap? Business up top, party on the bottom. Layered with my favorite oversized denim jacket that I scored at a flea market in Oakland. I considered pairing this look with black thigh high boots, but the sweater alone is provocative enough to nix the boots. So, I opted for a softer look and went with black mules, instead. Mules are a godsend for girls who feel inadequate if not dressed in high heels.

What's everyone doing for the holidays this year? I feel blessed to have a few fun events lined up, including the holiday party I'm planning for work, along with my Ugly Christmas Sweater Party with the roomies, and of course a warm gathering with the fam. Santa Con seems to be a thing here in San Francisco, and I think I would make a fine looking Old Saint Nick.

Whatever it is you end up doing, I hope it is filled with love and joy. Thanks so much for dropping in!

Street Chic

Streetwear with a touch of class, made from eco-friendly plant material. How cool is that? The oversized crew neck sweater is a must-have staple for the colder months ahead. Wear it with ankle boots, thigh high boots or sneakers for an air of understated coolness.

Groceries Apparel has easily become one of my favorite brands. Each piece from their collection was constructed with so much thought, from the fabrication, to the weight and structure of each garment. High-quality clothing with flattering cuts are such a rarity.

Off The Grid

Welcome to Sweater Weather 101. One thing about me is that I like my clothes really tight, or oversized to the brink of ridiculousness. If we must be covered in layers, let them drape along your silhouette, instead of rounding out like a puffin. (I'm looking at you, North Face friends). This off-the-shoulder knit sweater dress is a unique little gem. It's not often you find all the aforementioned facets in one sweater slash dress. A knit sweater should hug and drape in the right places, and this one surely fits the bill, and the love was instantaneous.

I'm carrying summer's off-the-shoulder trend into the fall. The cozy knit adds to the already playful, classy and sultry trend. I see a pattern with Miss Pap's pieces and I am a big fan.

It was a rainy Sunday morning on the day of this shoot, raining like cats and dogs. I was forced to cancel my shoot, and my photographer friend and I carried on with our lives. I was bogged down from the flu, but deadlines don't stop for anyone. Hours passed and the rain finally subsided before the sun came out to greet us. I frantically reached out to a few photographer friends, hoping we could catch this tiny bit of sunlight before it sets.

Lucky for me, Daniel Cohen was heading downtown and we were finally able to cross paths! We caught up with each other, sharing accomplishments big and small. He just had a groundbreaking gig in New York and I just came back from a cool event in Los Angeles. Seeing growth and success for a friend is such an inspiring feeling.

Although I had forces working against me, I powered through and it worked out for the best. I love how ethereal these shots turned out. I've said it once and I'll say it again: Push yourself, only good things will come from it.

Diamond Girl

Who knew sweats could be provocative? ;) Somehow, jogger pants broke free from the "sweatpants" category and became socially acceptable as everyday wear. This goes for guys and gals alike. Now, I'm not saying you should wear them to work. I'm saying joggers don't carry the stigma of looking "like a bum" while wearing sweats. Can we all take a moment to thank the great minds behind this streetwear trend? (Silent moment goes here).

Pro tip: When styling joggers, think of them as jeans and not sweats, with the sporty look in mind. Pair them with sneakers, a T-shirt or maybe a baseball cap. I have a few pairs of these joggers by Diamond Supply and I love how they fit. Great for a chill outfit while running errands or through the airport.

The joggers are courtesy of Diamond Supply, and it's still surreal that I've crossed paths with such a dope brand. Feeling blessed, to say the least. The sweater was a Christmas present from a friend, also from one of my favorite streetwear labels out of LA. (If you haven't seen Straight Outta Compton, you're missing out)!

I'm getting ready to leave the country this week. I'll be gone for 10 days, so get ready for a ton of photos! If you're reading this, know that you are awesome and I thank you. Big things are coming up, and I can't wait to share them with everyone!
