1960's Go-go Girl

Beauty is timeless. The 1960's was an innovative era for women's fashions. Things got bolder, quirkier. Shorts got shorter in addition to psychedelic prints and colorblock. The iconic mod 60's look originated in London is so feminine and flirty. All I'm missing is some chunky white framed sunglasses. Thanks to the good people at Forever 21 for hooking up your girl. How cool is it that this entire look is from Forever? Well, boots from Public Desire, but you can get them for Forever too!

I've been loving newsboy hats recently--the bigger the better. It's one accessory that instantly elevates an outfit from simple to chic. Mini wrap skorts (skirt shorts) were a big thing in the 60's and allowed girls to look playful yet modest. At last, girls could bend over and adjust their go-go boots with confidence.

I remember growing up with super strict Asian parents, and was not allowed to wear skirts BUT I COULD WEAR A SKORT. So I had many, many skorts. It felt like a happy medium, a transaction worked out with me and my parents at the tender age of seven lol. Because it was always about fashion. And now I miss my parents. Love you mom and dad!

UPDATE: OMG OMG YOUR GIRL WAS FEATURED ON Forever 21.COM!!! Extremely humbled and utterly grateful to be sponsored and featured by such an influential brand as Forever! There are so many girls out there doing what I'm doing, and it feels SO special to stand out from the rest. Thank you Alejandro Rios for lending me your gifted talents and kind soul. I am living my dream. THANK YOU to everyone reading this for following along on my journey, because good things are meant to be shared. This is just the beginning!

The Black Crusader

Boots so good they can be worn year round. Tried and true from Public Desire. Excited for the cooler weather so I can rock #allblackeverything. I love this long, oversized hoodie that encompasses my head. Because who wants a tiny hood that makes you look like Kenny from South Park? With the cotton hoodie and faux suede boots, I opted for my leather leggings from Forever 21 to add some dimension and texture to this monochrome look. Not going to lie, this long hoodie paired with my long boots has got me feeling like a Ninja Assassin.

How to Make Your Dreams Come True

It's easy to wish for things we want, but are you truly prepared to receive them? We all know someone who wants to find a better job, but is disinclined to freshen up their résumé. Someone who yearns for a meaningful relationship, but is still friendly to the fuckboys. Do your part and make the necessary arrangements to ensure your lifestyle is aligned with the life you want it to be. We get one life, why not make it extraordinary? Have the courage to believe that you can have what you truly want!

Moon River Woven Shorts

One thing about my style is that I either like my clothes one step beyond "form-fitting" or oversized to the brink of ridiculousness. (You can blame the latter on the iconic Olsen twins). And today, we are going for an oversized, airy look.

I love an good button-up shirt with a lacey undergarment. Smart and sexy, what's not to love? A rule of thumb for an oversized look is to have one form-fitting item, and in this case, it's the sashed shorts that accentuate the waist. But I love how the shorts have a relaxed fit, as well. Lately I've been obsessed with girly details, such as frills or big bows. Who am I these days?

In case you're wondering, I'm still in a phase where I have the urge to throw on thigh high boots with everything. What can I say? I'm a leg woman.
